There is a need for scientific knowledge to take appropriate actions in managing the health of oceans, said Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Vice Chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Mohd Harun Abdullah.
In his welcoming speech at the ‘Annual International Seminar on Marine Science & Aquaculture: Ocean Health & Our Future’, he said even in this 21st century, much of the ocean remains unexplored despite advancement in technology that increased our access to the parts of the sea which were inaccessible in the 20th century.
